It has now been almost 3 months since our journey on the PGA Tour canada started. Since this is my first year after college playing a whole season, I don’t think it’s weird that my body is taking a toll. 2011 I played only the fall with great success, but 2012 I was out for 11 months with a wrist injury. 2013 my dad had a heart attack and my mom got diagnosed with skin cancer which she is still battling today! It’s very tuff playing golf knowing your mom is not well and their is nothing you can do about it. On top of that I suffered a back injury in the middle of this season costing me almost 4 out of 12 events.

After a great event in Calgary shooting 19 under par and finishing 8 I felt like I was finally on my way to a great run. But my back that bothered me earlier in the year started acting up again and I suffered from an inflamed disk in my lower back that blocked the nerve down my left leg causing sharp pain down my leg. I took 2 weeks of hoping I could play pain free the last 2 events but that was not the case. I can swing but I had to fight so hard to get over on my left side since my body wouldn’t let me, causing a lot of misses way left. I missed the cut this week by only 2 shots. I made plenty of birdies but too many shots found the woods leading to big numbers.

It’s hard not playing well but at least I learned so much from this season especially what I need to do to keep my body healthy. In one month I start Q-school and I will do everything in my power to be healthy and ready to go by then!

I want to say thank you to everyone for your great support! I means so much to me and it helps me grind even harder!

Also please keep my mom in your prayers! She is my biggest inspiration and the biggest fighter I have ever known! I know she will get through this!!!

You stay classy planet earth!
